County Fair Open Class 2018
It’s county fair week in my small town and this year’s mad dash to the end was quite minor. This little stack is all I’m submitting for open class this year.
You may recognize the blanket on top- it’s my Side Stripe Granny Baby Blanket that I’ve blogged before. Next in the pile is a squishy chevron knit that just got it’s I-cord border Sunday afternoon. I’ve mentioned the bottom afghan before- it’s another Blackberry Salad- I’ll get formal Finished Projects posts up for those soon.
Usually, I run around and try to get as many projects to submit in as many categories as possible but I’m just not feeling it. Grad school has really done a number to my crafting. It’s not so much that it takes up so much time (though, it does) but that it drains so much energy. My brain just wants to wander off and read novels instead of thinking creatively.
“My giddyup and go has gone up and left!”
The good news is that I’m within the clog-ordering window of this latest term. When I get really overwhelmed with the final projects of a term I order a new pair of clogs from Lotta from Stockholm. They are a UK company so it takes ten days to get here which means by the time the term is done I have a cheerful new pair of clogs.
Cheers to one more week of classes! There is still a lot of summer left.
